It’s a process, and they’re just playing the game. We can’t get our own country to decide on it as a whole, so we can’t recognize immigrants when we don’t ourselves.

The problem with playing the game is that they are playing with people’s lives, which I think is horrible.  Beyond that, they’re playing with the party that just got slaughtered at the polls.  Why the fuck are they so afraid of them?

Absolutely disgusted with the Democratic party over their decision to not support a LGBT-inclusive immigration reform bill because the inclusion of gay families would mean Republicans would pull support.  Stop supporting us only when it’s only politically convenient for you.  That is bullshit to the highest degree and caves to a Republican party that would have gotten slaughtered if you had actually made them pull their support over the gays.  They would have gotten SLAUGHTERED for it!  It would have proven the Republicans learned nothing about their massive losses at the polls in ‘12 and would have set up another loss for them in ‘14.  But no, Democrats caved.  Assholes.

Having kids someday is kind of a really big deal to me.

A judge in Texas is forcing a lesbian couple to stop living with each other, citing a morality clause in the divorce papers from when one of the women was married to a man (the kids from this marriage live with the couple).  The ex-husband has a record and has little involvement in his children’s lives.  Link here.

Officially got asked to be in my first wedding.  The best part?  It’s a gay one.

Getting into bed with sheets warm and fresh out of the drier = highlight of my evening.
